Many mothers do not leave because they want to. They leave because the workplace has not adapted to their new reality. MAIA changes that.
Oxford Economics research cites £30,614 average per departure, rising to £40,000 to £100,000 for specialist and senior roles.
The Benefits to Your Organisation
Dramatically Improved Retention
Keep talented mothers who would otherwise leave. Avoid £30,000 to £100,000 replacement costs per person.
Gender Pay Gap Progress
Supporting women through matrescence keeps them progressing. Women who feel supported are significantly more likely to return, stay and advance.
Employer of Choice Status
Build a genuine reputation as a family friendly, forward-thinking employer. Attract and retain the best female talent.
Reduced Absence and Higher Wellbeing
Mothers who feel supported experience better mental health outcomes, which directly reduces absenteeism and presenteeism.
More Women in Leadership
MAIA supports career confidence alongside personal wellbeing. Women who complete the programme are better equipped to continue advancing.
ESG and DEI Evidence
Participation in MAIA gives you tangible data and testimonials to support your ESG reporting and DEI commitments.
The Maths Are Simple
If MAIA helps you retain just one employee who would otherwise have left after maternity leave, you have already avoided a cost of between £30,000 and £100,000. The pilot costs your business nothing. We are funding it. Zero cost. Significant return.

Live Midwife Session
A dedicated live session with our in-house midwife for trusted, professional guidance on health, recovery and early parenthood.
Private Community Hub
A private online community for peer support, connection and real conversations with other women on the same journey.
MAIA Foundations Workshop — Included for All Pilot Businesses
A dedicated workshop for your managers and leaders, giving your organisation the knowledge and tools to genuinely support pregnant employees and new mothers at work.
A Genuine Partnership, Not Just a Programme
We are funding this pilot because we believe the data it generates will help transform how businesses support mothers. In return, we ask for your organisation's genuine commitment.
-
1Nominate up to 5 eligible employees. Identify employed employees who are 12 to 16 weeks into their pregnancy and willing to commit to the full 14-week programme.
-
2Support their participation. Give your employees the time and space to engage with MAIA during the pilot. This is an investment in your people.
-
3Participate in the MAIA Foundations Workshop. We ask that relevant managers attend the included workshop to ensure a joined-up approach to supporting your employees.
-
4Complete organisational surveys. We will ask your HR or People team for feedback at key points. This data helps us measure real business impact.
-
5Provide a business testimonial. At the end of the pilot, we ask for your honest assessment of MAIA's impact on your organisation and your people.
